Ken Turns 27!! and Samantha apologizes for being a slacker...
Whew! Sorry for the lack of updating the blog lately. We have been crazily busy (in a good way!) lately, and that business has translated into major blog-slackage! Ken also recently turned 27 on Saturday, and the hot ladies at Two Hot Mommas made him this rockin' camera birthday cake -
And he got a new camera for his birthday!!
Hahahaha, not that one, but a brand spanking new canon 40d! "He" also got a canon large format printer which means we can now print photos up to 13" x 19"! I say "he" in quotes because I really am going to *ahem* borrow his camera for quite a while. I just can't stand not playing with new epuipment!
Here's Ken blowing out the candles on the lovely cake my mom made. Yup, 2 cakes. I've been eating cake for breakfast a lot lately. No complaints here!
Here are just a few pics from some recent shoots for you all to see. Many more will be posted later.
Sam and Charlie's "We just got engaged!" jump
*gasp!* could it be? Yes, pin-up photography!
I'm in the process of painting this photo right now, but you'll have to wait until it's done to see. :)
And last but not least, a photo from a session with Two Hot Mammas Confectioners Jenn & Sharon. This picture is called Two Hot Goofy Mammas. You know you like it!
I hope everyone is having a magical laughter-filled holiday season!

Black Friday and Pin-Up News!
I hope everyone is having a fun (and safe!) Black Friday! We are AVOIDING all malls today, but are going to go see a movie tonight with my friend Stephen who is going to be moving to Canada over the weekend. I'm guessing the theatres will be pretty packed, so we'll have to fight to get a bunch of seats all together.
I've been dilligently working on my pin-up painting series, and am so excited about all of the upcoming pin-up shoots! I'm doing several for reference photos for some painting, and doing a couple shoots with some girls to make calendars for their man as Christmas and Valentine's Day presents. I recently got TONS of outfits for the pin-up dressing room closet. Thank you after Halloween sales!
I had the lovely Jessica and Suzanne model some of the outfits for me, so I can place them on my new pin-up painting and photography site. It's so ridiculously cool so far! You will just all have to wait to see it until it's completely done. Cruel? Yes, but it will be worth the wait!
Since I'm feeling sort of generous, with it being the holidays and such, I'll post some of the outfits for you to see until then. I have about 30 outfits total. These aren't official themed pin-up photos, just showing off some of the costumes I have. Most of the outfits are sizes Medium to Large for maximum fitt-age (yup, that's a word) for the maximum number of people. We just pinned the ones that were bigger.
Jessica said she is stealing this outfit for Halloween next year to represent her German roots. Incidentally, the outfit is called Heidi Ho. So funny!! I'd love to be the person who has the job of naming the costumes!
Everyone have a stress-free weekend. Have fun decorating your Christmas tree! We're putting ours up tonight. :)

Road Trip-py!
Here's some pics from our mini road trip with Nathan! I tried to force myself to take pics that didn't include people. A very hard task for me, trust me. I'm the same way with painting too...Yeah, I can appreciate and paint the colors and reflections of a bottle. People are far more interesting though! I guess that's why I'm primarily a portrait painter and photographer though. :)
I had some fun with Photoshop too. These were just entertaining to take, and it made the car ride more interesting!
Our lovely driver, Ken!
The kickass photographer of the day - me!
Nathan, TRYING to bore us by reading part of the paper.
Ooops...I know, I know, photos of people! Ok, here's some other stuff.
We held our breaths!
...
The whole way!
I spy a Pensacola sign!
gorgeous sky...
They don't REALLY count as people b/c I can't see their faces. Mhmmm...just go with it! :)
My fav pic of the trip.
And we're back home!
Also, I want to warn all of you out there. DO NOT use the photobooth in Cordova Mall! We paid for it, got our pics taken, and waited about 10 minutes, and never got our photos. So we took these "ghetto photo booth pics" ridiculously late at night. I look reaaaally tired.
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Taaa-daaa!
See, I told you we'd post more pics today!
Showing off their matching (well, almost!) pedicures.
I love the last one! They reverted back to childhood (probably my fault because I had them do such goofy poses) and started fighting and pulling each others hair! At least they're having fun doing it. :)

BlogMania! Day 1: The Babikows 50th Anniversary Party!
Ok, let's start off the week with...a blog!
I had the priviledge of photographing the Babikows 50th Anniversary Party with my co-paparrazzi (I'm pretty sure there's a way to make that word singular, but I have no clue how!) Kim. Bliss Event Group planned the whole thing, and they did an amazing job! There was candy, arcade games, hula hooping...pretty much anything fun you can imagine!
The lovely couple!
Her wedding dress was so small, it wouldn't even fit the mannequin!
I absolutely love old photographs.
The lovely event planner, Danielle. ;)
Games! My favorite part!!
See, I told you there was candy!
And last, but not least - the whole family!
Join our blog tomorrow for...
a 50th BIRTHDAY celebration and maybe even some Road Trip photo action!
